What is HBOT?
During hyperbaric oxygen therapy you rest inside a clear, pressurized chamber and breathe 100% oxygen. The higher pressure lets far more oxygen dissolve into your blood and reach tissues that are not getting enough of it.
That extra oxygen supports the body’s own healing — which is why HBOT is used for chronic, non-healing wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers and for other conditions your physician determines are appropriate.

What to expect
Insurance & self-pay
We accept Medicare, most commercial insurance plans and self-pay. Many plans require prior authorization for HBOT — our team handles that with your insurer before treatment begins.
For referring physicians
To refer a patient, fax the referral, recent notes and wound documentation to 305-223-3242, or call 305-388-1118. We keep you updated on your patient’s progress.
Common questions
Does it hurt?
No. Most patients find it relaxing. The only common sensation is pressure in the ears as the chamber pressurizes, which eases by swallowing or yawning.
What should I wear?
We provide a cotton gown. Lotions, makeup, hair products and electronics are not allowed inside the chamber for safety.
Do I need a referral?
A physician evaluation is required before treatment. Call us — we can evaluate you here or work with your own doctor.
Is HBOT right for me?
Not everyone is a candidate. Certain lung conditions and medications need special review. Our physician will discuss this with you.
